PHX/World View's toolbar.

 
Selects the view number and layout. 
Selects the type of the active view (the one with the yellow border). 
Activates the Select mode. The mouse can change the viewpoint position/orientation and select objects. (S key in the active view). 
Activates the Move mode. An axis system is displayed when objects are selected (M key in the active view). 
Activates the Rotate mode. An axis system is displayed when objects are selected (R key in the active view). 
Matrix mode: Depending on whether or not this button is pressed, indicates if matrix changes (rotation, SameXXX commands ...) are done on the local matrix or the absolute one. 
Center the active view on selected object (the first one if multiple selection). (V key in the active view). 
Center all views on selected object (the first one if multiple selection). 
Makes the viewpoint looks at the selected object (the first one if multiple selection). (Shift+V keys in the active view). 
Activates and configures the Snap to Grid tool. The tool is using the grid sizes (if active) even if the grid is hidden. 
Named selections. For creating a named selection: select entities in the current view then, in the edit field, enter a selection name. The {abc} button opens a dialog box for managing the registered named selections. 

Rotate or translate the selected object(s): choose the required mode then place the cursor near the desired axis (it becomes yellow) in the active view. Click on the left button to select the axis, then move the mouse. Simply release the left button to exit the move or press Escape key in order to cancel the operation.
